New Orleans New Year's Eve Festival Rated #1
It's got the atmosphere, the proper attitude and the energy. New Orleans is a party just about anytime but New Year's is especially fun. The Sugar Bowl teams, alumni and students are all in town, which just adds to the spirit.
Bourbon Street is the call but at midnight is exciting to see the ball drop in Jackson Square. The 2009 Sugar Bowl is Jan. 2 and features Alabama and Utah. There will be lots of "Roll Tide" cheers on Bourbon Street.
Don't forget The Crescent City Countdown Club will present the traditional New Year's Eve festivities in the New Orleans French Quarter including live local music and a gumbo pot drop to launch the midnight barrage of fireworks over the mighty Mississippi River.
And for something very special, New Year's Eve Fireworks Cruise Aboard The Creole Queen is not to be missed! The Perfect Combination for celebrating the New Year!
