The Audubon Zoo kicks off its annual Black History Month celebration on Saturday February 7th with an “African American Cultural Explosion” of live music, spoken-word poetry, liturgical dancing and tributes to New Orleans’ own Living Legends.   Wonderful music by local favorites: Kermit Ruffins, Walter “Wolfman” Washington, Philip Manuel, Nu-Beginnings, Colage III and the Thelonious Monk Ensemble.  Check out all the events and stay with us in the Heart of the French Quarter!
