Battle of New Orleans Commemoration, from $69

Remember the Battle of New Orleans at Chalmette Battlefield, the very place where it happened. Meet the American and British troops who fought one of the most significant battles in world history. Visitors can enjoy military drills, cannon and musket firing, and crafts and cooking demonstrations. Park staff and volunteers in period clothing will represent American and British soldiers and civilians and explain their roles in the battle. Over 100 living history experts in period dress will bring the sights and sounds of January 8, 1815, to life on January 8 and 9, 2010.  And while in town, enjoy the start to Mardi Gras season with the Feast of the Epiphany, January 6.
