Stephen Sondheim’s musical, COMPANY, opens at Tulane University’s Summer Lyric Theatre, July 9-12. The clashing sounds and pulsing rhythms of New York City underscore this landmark “concept” show, considered by many to have inaugurated the modern era of musical theatre. Performance times for COMPANY are 8 p.m. on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday and 2 p.m. on Sunday in Dixon Hall, Tulane University.

Tales of the Cocktail, the local festival of drink that brings cocktail mavens from across the country, is just a month away. Tickets for its ‘Spirited Dinners’, the cocktail mavens’ answer to a multi-course, paired wine dinner, are on sale now.
The dinners take place at 25 different New Orleans restaurants on Thursday, July 9. Chefs team with authors and bar chefs to create four to six course meals where each course is paired with a different cocktail. Prices range from $85 to $100 per person.
